My last three books stemmed from a Ph.D thesis which was a study of manuscripts in which the authors writing in te reo wrote memoirs of their travel within New Zealand and abroad.

Currently, my activity involves tutoring a WEA class in writing short stories. Most of my own writing also concentrates on the short story.

I find SIWA an inspiring organisation. Its present and recent past committee members (i.e. in the years I have belonged to SIWA) have done a fine job in providing support for writers. I feel fortunate in belonging to it.
